Summer is when Provo Canyon truly comes alive — and there’s no better way to take it all in than from a home base right in the middle of it. The Provo Canyon Treehouse sits creekside, sleeps up to 12, and puts the river, the trails, and the reservoirs all within a few minutes’ drive. Pack the days full, then come home to the hot tub and the sound of the stream.
Here’s how to build the perfect summer week.
On the water

The Provo River runs right behind the cabin, so water days start the moment you step outside:
- Fly fishing the blue-ribbon Lower Provo for wild brown and rainbow trout
- Tubing, rafting, and paddleboarding on the river at Vivian Park, with rentals and shuttles from High Country Adventure
- Deer Creek Reservoir (8 minutes) for swimming, the floating obstacle course, wakesurfing, and paddleboards
On the trail

Some of Utah’s best hiking starts within minutes:
- Big Springs Hollow Loop — an easy, shady creekside favorite
- Stewart Falls — a moderate hike to a dramatic 200-foot waterfall
- Mount Timpanogos — the big one: alpine meadows, wildflowers, a glacier, and the famous summit mountain goats
- Provo River Trail — 15 paved miles right out the door, perfect for biking with the family
Scenic drives & canyon sights

When you’d rather cruise than climb, the canyon delivers:
- The Alpine Loop, a jaw-dropping drive circling Mount Timpanogos
- Sundance for lift-served mountain biking, the spa, and lunch by the creek
- Bridal Veil Falls, a short walk down the Provo River Trail
- Timpanogos Cave and Cascade Springs for a cooler afternoon
Back at base camp

The best part of an adventure is coming home to recover. After a day out, you’ve got a private hot tub, a grill and patio, a fire pit for evening s’mores, and a creek to fall asleep to — with room for the whole group of up to 12.
